Sally Texania

Sally Texania (born in 20 January 1985 Dallas, USA) is an independent curator work and based in Jakarta, Indonesia. After graduated cumlaude from the Faculty of Art and Design Bandung Institute of Technology,  she decided to pursuit her master degree in University of Indonesia-International Relation with thesis on cultural diplomacy effect to Modern Art in the cold war period. She was the curator of 'berseni project' an interdisciplinary art project working with visual artist and anthropologist.
She later served as the head of museum-curator of a newly founded private museum, Ciputra Museum overseeing the institution collections and it's interpretation through exhibitions and public program. Her curatorial work include shows in institutions such as Galeri Sumarja, Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, Ciputra Museum, Museum of Fine Art and Ceramic Jakarta working with visual artist and institution’s art collection. In 2015 she was selected by Goethe Institute to join "Curators Lab" a project focusing on curatorial practice in South East Asia.
